As part of Science Week, AGCS is running a SCIENCE SPECTACULAR in collaboration with Mad About Science! Aimed at children aged 3 to 5, the immersive workshop includes whole group demonstrations as well as free exploration time.

Time: 10am - 11:30am

Cost: $0 FREE

Age Suitability: 3-5 year olds

Six workstations will be set up with a variety of open-ended science activities, each focused around a particular area of science.


Chemistry: Elephant's toothpaste, instant snow eruptions and colour-changing indicators
Light & Colour: Kaleidoscopes, lenses, colour filters for mixing and rainbow fireworks glasses
Magnetism: Iron fillings encased in plastic, magnet cars, magnetic wands and magnetic marbles
Electricity: Energy sticks, globes and propeller circuits, snap circuits
Minibeasts: Multiple specimens of bug and insects encased in resin with magnifying glasses
Force & Movement: Mini Hoberman, rolling car, gyroscope, flying wing prop top

    Emergency Medical Treatment:
    I consent and agree to AGCS, its workers/contractors to seek, or where appropriate, administer, such emergency medical treatment as is deemed necessary and will reimburse any reasonable expenses incurred by AGCS.

    Lost Property or Damage:
    I agree that neither AGCS nor its workers/contractors will be liable for lost property. All lost property found by AGCS or its workers/contractors will be placed in the Lost Property Box in the kitchen, which is cleared at the end of each term.

    Cancelled Activity:
    In the event this activity is cancelled by AGCS due to unforseen circumstances, AGCS will email all participants where possible to advise of the cancellation.

    Confirmation:
    I confirm the information in this booking form is true and correct and will immediately inform AGCS in the event of any change to this information.

    Membership
    AGCS requires all adult participants to hold an annual membership, valid from 1 January to 31 December each year.  Membership helps cover essential running costs and allows us to continue offering low-cost, inclusive programs for the community. 

    General Membership (non‑voting) is $5.00 per year and is payable at the time of enrolment. This single $5.00 fee covers you for all AGCS programs you may attend during the calendar year.

    Membership with voting rights is $10.00 per year. If you would like to become a voting member and participate in our AGM, please contact the office by emailing enquiries@agcsinc.org.au
