Understanding violence against women and what action you can take to prevent it.

Wednesday 14th June 10am - 12pm

Join us for this free workshop which will help to develop the capacity of individuals to recognise, respond and appropriately refer disclosures of family violence.

Presented by WHISE. On completion of the workshop you will be able :

  1. To understand the prevalence and drivers of violence against women.
  2. To build appreciation of the individual’s own ability to address the problem and stop violence against women.
  3. To train and outline the skills and tasks to:
    • Be an active bystander – with reference to both online and in person settings 
    • Know what resistance to prevention of violence against women looks like and how to stop it
    • How to manage and respond appropriately to disclosures
