Community Swap Event – Your Place to Connect!

Join us at Chelsea Heights Community Centre as we celebrate Neighbourhood House Week with this year’s theme, “Your Place to Connect.” Our Swap Event is all about bringing people together, sharing resources, and building stronger local connections in a fun and welcoming environment.

Have items at home you no longer need?

Bring along clean, good-quality clothes, toys, plants, or household goods and swap them for something new-to-you! It’s a great way to reduce waste, save money, and meet others in your community.

Come along, bring a friend, and be part of making our community a place where everyone feels connected.

Sustainability Matters
By taking part in our Swap Event, you’re helping reduce landfill waste and supporting a more sustainable way of living. Swapping extends the life of everyday items, cuts down on unnecessary consumption, and encourages mindful choices.

Drop off 

Monday 11^th May 9.30am – 2.30pm or Tuesday 9am - 10am.

Swap Time!

Tuesday 12^th May from 11am to 1pm.

How it works?

1. Please register by clicking the button below.

2. Choose Items You No Longer Need. Bring max 10 items in clean and in good condition e.g. (clothing, cessories, home decor, plants, kitchenware, games, toys..) Not accepted : big items, furniture, shoes, undies/socks, soft toys, electronics.

3. Drop off your preloved items on Monday 11^th May 9.30am – 2.30pm or Tuesday 9am - 10am.

4. Collect your trading tokens. Each item brought earns one swap. Maximum of ten swaps per person.

5. Swap Time! Tuesday 12th May from 11.00am – 1.00pm. On the day, use your tokens to exchange for other items. BYO bags!

Important Information: 

This is not a market. You need to be a part of the exchange process. All attendees must contribute by bringing donated items and actively participating in the exchange process.

All unswapped items will be dropped to the local op shop.
